Notes
When these books were released in paperback, TRIPLANETARY
was numbered #1, and GALACTIC PATROL #3. However, the
arguments for doing GALACTIC PATROL are apparently:
1) GP was the first Lensman book
written, so "Triplanetary"
is first the way The Magician's Nephew is first...and I
don't think people are best reading Magician's Nephew before
reading LWW.
Apparently, Galactic Patrol really begins
the lensmen stuff, and the books nowadays numbered 1 and 2
were written later to give backstory...backstory which GP
does not assume one knows.
2) The consensus is apparently that Galactic Patrol is
a better-written and more interesting book.
